Good grades in Brownsburg

Brownsburg school district staffers are giving their new health care clinic high marks, according to a district official.
Open on the district's campus since spring, the clinic makes getting health care services convenient and inexpensive, said Jodi Gordon, director of human resources for Brownsburg Schools.

"We have had very positive feedback from staff members," said Gordon. "We hope to increase participation as we go forward and utilization of the clinic."

The district has about 1,000 employees, and about 350 are on a health-care plan that makes them eligible to use the clinic. It is operated by Indianapolis' Novia CareClinics, which will manage a similar facility opening in Washington Township Schools this year.

Brownsburg's clinic has even worked for Gordon.

She wasn't feeling well in June, so she made an appointment. Within 20 minutes, she was in and out.

"I was very pleased," she said. "It didn't cost anything."
