Setting up an on-site clinic is neither daunting nor expensive.  Under the approach offered by Novia, clinics can work effectively for companies with as few as 100 employees in or near a single physical location.  When engaged to implement and manage an on-site clinic, Novia undertakes nearly all of the necessary work on behalf of an employer.

Employers will typically play their largest role by selecting and outfitting the clinic space within or near their work facility.  Even during this process, Novia will consult with the employer about build-out specifications and site location.  Typically a clinic should be about 800 to 1,200 square feet.  Equipment and initial supplies for the clinic typically cost less than $10,000.

Once engaged to open and operate a clinic, Novia will immediately begin the search for qualified medical professionals to work in the clinic.  After a thorough screening process that includes both the employer and Novia staff, the qualified medical professionals who are selected will be contracted directly by Novia.  Although it is completely within their discretion, smaller employers typically have the clinics open part-time each week.  Experience has shown that doctors who work in the clinic will typically take a part-time role in the clinic as a supplement to their private practice.
