What We Provide
Under the model recommended by Novia, the employer's on-site clinic provides basic primary care services to employees and dependents free of charge. There are no insurance forms, deductibles, or co-pays required for use.
Both employers and their employees benefit from having a Novia CareClinic on-site. The employer saves through reduced medical benefit costs and increased productivity. The employee benefits through free primary care services and preventative care. Some prescription drugs may also be provided free of charge when the on-site clinic is utilized. Employees gain more quality time with the doctor and take less time away from work. And, of course, the biggest benefit to all parties is when employees take steps to improve their health.
The on-site clinic is essentially a doctor's office located within or near the employer's facility. Medical professionals are contracted by Novia to work part-time in the clinic. The clinic is open at regular hours each week at the direction of the employer. Employees may set their own appointment at the clinic by accessing secure on-line scheduling systems provided by Novia, or they may call Novia at any time for assistance in scheduling or to talk with a nurse about a medical situation.
There are a variety of disease management services offered through the clinic, including health risk assessments, individual follow-up, and health coaching.
The clinic is an alternative to other primary care services. Under Novia's approach, participation is encouraged but not required. The use of on-site clinics typically has no direct impact on benefit plan design. On-site clinics provide for more convenient and focused primary care, while providing a platform for important wellness and pre-disease management services.
